We bought a leather sofa and loveseat a year ago and paid for an additional warrenty on the leather to coverage any problems with the leather for 5 years. At the time I purchased the furniture I was told if I had any problem, I just needed to call the store and they would send someone out to repair the leather.

When you buy the protection program they give you some leather cleaner and conditioner that you are suppose to use to protect the leather. So......when I had a problem with one area on the leather (slight cracking) I called Sofa Mart and was told that they just don't send someone out, I would have to bring in a picture and then they would decide if they would send someone out. So.....we took a picture on our digital camera and drove 30 minutes to the store where we were told that the guy that sold us the sofa should not have sold the warrenty on a sofa that we got 30% off on (not my fault).

They said the sales associate no longer works for them and that they are still trying to clean up his mess.(not my problem) The salesman said he would need to talk to his manager and call me over the weekend (never called) I called and was told that my warrenty was thru the company that makes the conditioning cream and cleaner and that I would have to go thru them (located in Denver Co) The manager said that they no longer have a service person because the guy they had was screwing things up and they fired him.(not my fault) The manager then said that if we wanted to bring the sofa and loveseat back (at our expense) he would give us a store credit. Like I would buy another piece of furniture from this store........NOT!!!!!!!

Monetary Loss: $2652.

disagree with the store rep that goes by peanut butter red dirt and writes things to support the store. These type of people get paid...watch him respond to this ....or use another login name.

But the store is totally at fault. Was thinking about getting a sectional there, but maybe I should spend the extra $500 and go to Lazy Boy.

So you got to use their furniture for a year and because you were lied to about the warranty they were willing to take it back and give you something new how horrible! You live thirty minutes away ( not their fault)
