I went to sofa Mart today in Boise. I asked why the price of a certain set had raised so high.
The sales girl told me it was because of tariffs. I looked up the company today when I got home. The furniture is made in Texas. I dont think theres tariffs on furniture made in Texas.
The furniture had actually been raised 30% from the last time I looked at it. They lied to me.
It had nothing to do with tariffs they are price gouging and think they can get away with it. Ill never walk back in that store again.

Verified Reviewer |I punched a leather recling sofa & recliner about 7 yrs. Its started to wear the last 6 months so, I went into the store 3-4 days ago & asked why it would do that because I've owned leather .
Come to find out after this guy looked up my order he said, it was not real leather. So for $3600 7 yrs ago I bought nothing they had told me it was.
The guy said he could see who sold it to me & wasn't surprised I was told that.
He said there's nothing they could do for me now. He was very helpful & honest compared to the last time I visited the store looking for other furniture.

Sofa falling apart
I purchased a leather sofa and love seat on 10/2014 so a little over 4 years ago. When we picked out this set we were informed that it had a lifetime warranty and being it was leather it would last a long time.
Well when we got the set we noticed it had a extra long stitching thread hanging out and were told by the delivery people that it was just excess. Well not we realize that it is not excess and that thread has started pulling out and the stitching is all coming off the left side of the sofa. I contacted the store and was told there is only a year warranty on the furniture. I told them we were informed that it had a lifetime warranty, so then we were told to contact Allway and put in a warranty claim and to tell them it was my wife's ring that caused the stitching to fall apart which was a lie.
This product is defective and now Allway is saying they won't cover the damage, well it is not damaged from us, it was defective stitching from the beginning. I am now contacting a lawyer to get this issue settle as I am not going to pay thousands of dollars for products that are not backed by the company selling them or the manufacturer.

Poor quality furniture
The zig zag springs went bad about 2 years after my purchase supposedly they replaced them now just out of warranty they have gone bad again on both pieces of furniture sofa and recliner, can’t even sit comfortably on any seat now I’ll never purchase anything there again just trash !

Terrible Service
Update as of January 2, 2019. I was contacted by Sofa Mart that the motors would be in by December 24th.
I talked with the Manager of the Store and he said he would personally keep track of them.
I have not heard from the Store since and still no motors. A lot of promises but no follow through.
We bought the couch and ordered the motors. They came arrived in January 2018. The wrong size. I brought them back for exchange.
I was told a month to arrive. Then I was told they were back ordered until July. Since then I've been told they are in the warehouse but know one knows why they are not on the delivery trucks. They also said all they can do is send emails with no response.
It's now December 2018, a year and a half and still no motors for the recliners. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
Terrible communication between warehouse and store or however orders get delivered. If I was in charge of that store I would have called or emailed everyday and not let it go A YEAR AN A HALF.

Ordered a couch, was told it would take 2 weeks to come from the warehouse. I don't understand why, but whatever.
Got called today & told it was in, but they couldn't deliver for another week! This really irritated me because this couch wasn't cheap, & why pay so much money on something I can't use? I feel like delivery furniture isn't their top priority.
I'm trying yo find someone to go pick it up for me. But I have a feeling that getting my delivery fee back will be a challenge.
Frustrated after spending thousands upon thousands here
I have been waiting for over 3 months for a "part" to fix a recliner that was under the stores warranty. Was told 3weeks to 3month.
I have been calling and getting the run around and they still have no idea what happened to the order, ETA, or if the items will come in. They offer to send a tech out until they were reminded by myself that we live out of town. I was told that the warranty covers it to be fixed and if they can't get the part they allow you to pick another chair at the same value.
I was fine with the part...3 months ago. Very frustrated as I am waiting to order a mattress and have them delivered at the same time once the recliner was fixed and the rest of my house is completely full of furniture row items!!
Sectional Wows
we have had an account with Furniture row for quite some time and have bought $$$ thousands $$$ from Sofa Mart and Denver Mattress.
About 3 years ago we bought a sectional from Sofa Mart and have never been happy with it. To save some money I did not pay the delivery and setup fee......My Bad! I will never haul and setup furniture again. The pieces would not fit together easily and the right side end recliner does not lock with the piece next to it. These recliners are not power (again to save some $$$) so when a person is sitting in it and wants to close the foot rest, the whole piece flips forward!! Also the metal mechanism has rubbed holes into the fabric underneath and rubs against the wood frame...chewing it up as well. I did contact Sofa Mart shortly after purchasing and was told I would need to bring the pieces back to the store because we hauled it ourselves. I had every intention of taking them back but life is busy and time gets away, now it's been 3 years. I recently called Sofa Mart and sent pictures to the Manager in Boise, Idaho. He refused to do anything without charging me a fee and says I would need to bring it into the store. Since the warranty period is up that would be a waste of time.
Here is the real beef with this Sofa Mart Manager. He could have easily addressed my concerns and replaced the bad hardware on the piece that does not lock with the recliner to keep it from flipping forward and I would have been happy with that. What would that cost the store.......$100 maybe?
We were about to purchase a King mattress and complete Bedroom set that would have been $3-$4 Thousand!!
Yes it's my BAD for not taking care of it in a timely manner but the bottom line here is "Customer Service" and a "quality product" which is apparently absent from Furniture Row stores.
I have cancelled my account and will be taking my business else where.

Resolved: Leather Sectional sofa
We went back to sofa mart today for the third time. The manager came over and without us even asking for a new set, he went on to say, go pick out a set of equal value.
I was shocked but very grateful. We didn’t get any run around as we did the first two times.
So to say the least sofa mart made sure there customers were satisfied. I am very very pleased.
Bought a 6 piece sectional sofa in October 2016. In September of 2017 the finish started to wear off in one certain spot.
Brought that piece of the sofa back, they supposedly fixed it and extended my warrantie for one more year, at my request. Few weeks later same thing, the finish in one spot coming off. Brought it back again, again they attempted to fix it. This time the finish they applied was put on so heavy, that brown speckals transferred onto our clothes and head, as the defect is right where your head rests.
We will be bringing it back again after the holidays. Although they will pacify us till the warranty has reached its expiration date. Will never buy or recommend sofa mart to anyone.
It’s really to bad, as our sales person was very very nice, unfortunately he’s selling junk. We are a retired couple living on a fixed income, and was hoping this would be our last time buying a living room set.
Preferred solution: Since they don’t make this sectional anymore, we need a replacement of equal value.

Spent around $4500 on a living room set (Starship sofa and loveseat). When we first got it, we loved it.
I still would, if it wasn't for the 2 small areas where the material has started peeling. It happened about a year after we bought it. We called to see about getting it warrantied and they told us it was "normal wear and tear" due to pets and that they couldn't do anything about it. Almost a year later and it is still only peeling in those 2 spots, even though our pets lay all over it.
Since I wrote my first review on their website they have discontinued the product. I'm sure, due to the fact that they know there is an issue.
Yet, they still refuse to do anything. Needless to say, I will take my business elsewhere the next time I decide to buy new furniture.

Poor quality
Ordered furniture and was told it would be 2 weeks - then in 2 weeks it would be 6 more weeks - I was irate! they said okay come in and pick another set out and we will make sure we have it in stock for you.
Finally found something I liked - and low and behold you know it was more expensive!
So after that mess was sorted out - furniture was delivered - we have had it approximately 5 years - 2 adults - we have a chair we've had for 20 years - we are not hard on our furniture- and the recliner on the left side of the love seat has a pressed pin that sheared and there is no way to fix it.
Okay maybe it was a fluke - my sofa had always been a little higher on the right end. never thought anything about it.
Well since the recliner was broken, we started to use the sofa more often. I sat on the right - the part that was higher by maybe an inch- the frame is broken!! That is why the end popped up an inch. My sitting there without knowing in made it worse and now that end dips.
I spent over $2000 for this furniture and it is garbage.
They told be there was 1 yr warranty on the mechanism and 3 years on the frame- these are both out of warranty but I can call their tech to come to my house to see if it is defect - $50 out of my pocket. Then they may cove the parts to fix it - maybe ...

False advertising of lifetime warranty
We purchased a 4 piece living room set from furniture row in CO in 2005. The salesman touted their lifetime warranty on frame and springs.
When we asked what ‘lifetime’ meant, he said for as long as we own the furniture.
Three years ago the frame and springs began go on cluch, loveseat and chair and when we contacted the store to find out how to get it repaired the store said it was outside of its warranty.
When I explained what we were told at the sale he said it was incorrect. I told him we were sold on the lifetime warranty and he said their definition of ‘lifetime ‘ is 7 years and refused to do anything about it.
Horrible
First of I need to say the salesman Sam was very friendly, but Tim on the other hand was very arrogant and rude . I negotiated a price on a returned item on Tuesday told them I have talk it over with my husband and will get back with them tomorrow, I called the next day as I wanted to purches the item as Tim informed me the deal is off , they want almost full asking price , as I got upset and told him this is horrible customer service his replay was , well you should have bought it last night .... I will never set a foot in that store again or recommend it , I will warn friends and family to stay away !
Cloud leather furniture color coming off - Furniture Row
I purchased the leather cloud mahogany sectional with the extended 5 yr. leather protection.
I called the store at 1.5 years of use for fading they told me to use a leather pen for coloring. I've called multiple times to complain about excessive fading of color and loss of color however they referred me to a furniture repair shop at my cost. After spending 8k with this company I am furious they will not replace or repair the leather furniture. They stated the oils from skin cause it.
I have followed the six month leather cleaning conditioning plan and don't even utilize all pieces that are faded or lost color.
I would expect a company to back their product and leather should last longer then this. I am beyond disappointed.

I have done that, and now the store wants me to bring the sofa in so it can be repaired. I had it delivered as it is very heavy and hard to move, and they offered to pick it up but they want me to pay $45 fee to bring it in and another $45 if they pick it up which is ridiculous.
I made to feel like it is my fault this product is defective and now up to me to fix it. I think Sofa Mart and Furniture Row needs to stand behind the products they offer.
I have contacted legal council and am being advised on this matter. I hope Furniture Row will make this right and offer better customer service than I have received.
