Purchased expensive leather sofa less than 1 yr ago. At 6 months the padding in 1 arm went away, a month later 1 seat cushion collapsed. It is under warranty (1 time & 1 time only) BUT now they want us to bring the sofa back to them. (they delivered faulty merchandise but wont pick up faulty merchandise?)

If someone that weighs 170 pounds cant sit on a sofa without it collapsing, I think that says alot for the poor quality of what they sell

Also purchased a desk at the same time, assembled poorly and within a week the drawers will not shut evenly and the seams on the top are unlevel. Several of the drawer pulls broke almost immediately as well Great stuff they sell.... Our problems are still un-resolved

Monetary Loss: $1400.

:( I am having the same issue now! Purchased a couch 3 weeks ago but was only able to pick up half of it due to an "inventory mimark".

Was told the other 1/2 would be delivered within 7 to 10 days... until 10 days later.

Now they're saying it'll be next week, so I said forget it. Want to return the couch and they refuse to pick it up from me!

I've always had great experiences w sofa mart. I did receive info on the warranty and it does state transportation of the pce for repair is not covered however parts, labor etc are covered.

So they weren't doing anything more but standing behind the policy that was written for them. If you research complaints for sofa mart you will find a handful. That's just furniture, just like cars there are a few lemons in the thousands produced.

I will take my chance with sofa mart. Their prices are great and trust me compared to Ashley they are great w/ customers.

This happened to our furniture also. The warranty folks they sent over to replace the cushions, said it happens very often.

They said we could buy quality cushions, but they were very expensive. They replaced them with the same junk cushions that failed the first time.
